Two in One but kinda left behind the tiny dots...

Well, meow there !
Went to freaking ice cold D.C. and visited three states in one day back and forth to get stuff done. After all, felt like beasting it out like the Medusa.... And being exhausted, just kept on going until my mind could not carry my body for any longer and had to nap. It was cram time. Thank goodness, that the boss saved the time to get things lined up....
So did the two slam magazine  thingies.... Unfortunately, the pics I took, went all sour. But one stood out, with no potential of a clear cut photo- just really blurry. What to do ? How can one salvage garbage ? Sometimes there is treasure in trash !
So did the second version of the slam magazine, and it is the boy with the long hair, Chris- at the Student Life. He has such georgeous hair, he will make any woman jealous ( or man )....
I decided to use Lightwave for text, not happy about the bottom part- but after about eight hours of dedication, the dedication wore off for the night and ended up just leaving it, too tired to go on after being in the same room from 7:40 ish a.m. til 9:30 ish p.m... The marathon is over for the day!
Anyway, after rendering the pics from Lightwave in different textures and putting it into a png format- Photoshop covered the rest. I made several copies of the same edge glow photo, and dragged, rotated, warped, stretched it, etc and then added a few flame brushes to it. The folio for this one is the two brush swoosheeezzz....
I was too tired to focus harder on the folio and would redo it later, if so... I wanted to do something better, but just the time it took to do all of this was spent with all energy on the beefy part, not the side dish....
The first version is a " Tree Woman" something I had in mind since 1994. I had an old painting I winged half of a lifetime ago, and I decided to stick with my first thought. That thought was, that some day I would redo this picture. I did not know then, what Photoshop was, and did not know, that I would redo it in Photoshop.... So I used it as a base for my main idea, added pieces of photos from landscapes that I had taken in the past and then used some special brushed for rock texture etc. But all I do, I create all of my stuff myself, almost all of it.  I do not like using stuff from the internet, and make it mine, unless there is time constraint, or lack of local resources. It is nice to use your own work... And when all fails, then the internet of course is the best option. But to have things, that are original and created like the food at the dinner table and not a drive through style art job- it just feels more rewarding and genuine in character, well at least to me. The thing is of course, that all of this is really much more harder to do,because of a huge investment in time.Anyway, the first version is mixed media, between painting, photography and digital painting.
So going back to the last one version- I did use the images for some of the past SLAM magazines to create a clipping mask for the word itself SLAM. Kinda to honor the past SLAMMER's ....
Using the eraser brush helped to blend it along with the Clone Stamp tool- to merge partial images together...
Well that is all for now...
Here is the first and the second version.

The one color shape thingy...

Ok, when I saw this lesson, all I could see was colors and shapes. I ended up using at least 16 shapes to create the version of Kaleidoscope, plus the bloat thingy, the wiggle thingy and something else, I don't recall right now. I used something like color dodge/different colors to change it and size it up and down, spin the shapes clockwise, counterclockwise etc. I was already thinking of creating a Kaleidoscope type, I had fun and just kept on playing.  If it is not weird or crazy, then something is wrong... But what is weird, is it really something that can be comprehended  unless it is a group that is alike ...
This one was fun to do. I kinda like chaos and most of my stuff will be organized chaos... Here is the link:

Nightmare Dreamweaver

Who called it Dreamweaver ? It is not weaving dreams for me, a novice, but more spinning a web of OMG, I need to get this language down. Getting down a little, like raindrops.  But well, again, with tutor support, all it is predicted as a good fortune in the stars- " literally".  On the other hand, I made the risky choice to assume four classes and took a harder class. Talk about a self-challenge. Meh, meow... Anyway .... So I decided to make my webpage one of those " I want all of your money, and I will tell how screwed  up your future is later"....
Just kidding. I created a sphere in Photoshop, found a royalty-free background and added the rest of the graphics in there- using Opacity and a humorous type of font to make it look really like one of those "Miss Cleo" Fortune Teller Astrology Front Web Pages. I also ended up posterizing the celestial horizon. The best thing to do is, when there is always an unpredictable future- to make things ahead for time, just in case something will not work out, there will be extra time to work on assignments, especially when life and glitches happen.  That way fortune telling will be a fairy tale....
Finally, I got to upload the pic- it would not work on the school computer, grrrr....

Fire Tari

Took a photo of a young girl as a base for a portrait inspiration, who works at the Computer Library. She modeled for a picture.
I wanted to paint Nefertari ( Queen Nefretiti), but I changed my mind and made it look a little cosmic. So adding some flames and used the same color scheme throughout the entire picture. Subtle opacity, different subtle shades of color completed the Digital Picture. Four hours later, I am still getting used to learning the digital pen- this was the answer. I added more volume to the lips and naturally things are not meant to be a 100% even.

Thematic Text

Well, had to decide on a word. I was  thinking about my favorite things, and Cat was one of them. I started to  create some stuff, but then by the time I got to 302, I changed my mind. All I thought was, that they crap all day. So I almost decided on the words " Oh Shit". Then I told myself, that is enough, I already created an apartment ad called Ghetto Fabulous, so I decided to go back to my "good" side and put my "bad " side on a hanger just again. I had some photos, that I still like, and I love the ocean (from far away only or from the shore) with the water landscape that contains a diversity of life. I had to find Dory, and Nemo was added as a clicker. Here are  the before/after versions.

Dory and Nemo are not on it, but they are interactive clickers . I created a mixed background in Photoshop to create the Ocean Thematic Text. The only challenge was at the end, to do the start and end, guess because of the updated version of the program. Otherwise, this was pretty interesting and fun to do.

Galleria Photos. Ipsum style

Blog, blog, blog... Not sure, felt really floral about it. Added Kitty to it, as it was also "required" (not really). WELL, I HAVE BEEN TRYING NOW, TO PUT MY SCRREESHOT into the blog, but the system is acting up. I will try again. I tried four times ,and now it is frustrating that is not even wanting to upload. It is just a JPEG, and it is being a pain in the pumpkin ! Well, there is plan B. IT arrived in Deviantart.

Photography translated into After Effects, then Premier Pro

The weather was graceful enough, to spare a day for photography during this past winter weekend. I had a vision, hoping to execute that vision. The idea was, to use my crystal ball again, to show nature and places in a fisheye and shear global view. So I held up with one hand the crystal ball, and with the other, I shot the photos. At another time, I just set it somewhere to photograph it. The photos were taken at Chambers Bay and Steilacoom by the shore. The closer it was, the more time I had to take photos. It took me over 430 photos, just to achieve a handful of decent shots. Usually I count one good photo for one hundred photos taken. Going through the photos one by one is a different story. About a 100 of them were just crystal ball reflections. I had thought of having a slight dreamy theme for this. The ground in the Adobe After Effects is simply a photo I had taken outside Pierce College and increased the saturation. Color is also my theme. But that is my style, it is color. I love color like a kid loves candy. I like to feel the view of color. The crystal ball it is just a theme of mine, that I will use occasionally for different uses.... Well, no one knows, where reflections may take one to what type of place.
